About the Artist

Ezra Cohen (b. 1993) is an American contemporary artist who began his training at the age of nine with his mentor the late painter Edla Cusick. From 2010 – 2018 Cohen studied under master artist Knox Martin at the Art Student’s League of New York. He was awarded the Fantasy Fountain Fund Scholarship to attend an artist residency at the Marchutz School of Fine Arts in Aix en Provence, France, with renowned sculptor Greg Wyatt. Cohen works in both abstract and figurative styles and is currently interested in imagery of creation and destruction. His work is characterized by high-contrast, vivid color, and texture. Cohen lives and works in Hell’s Kitchen in New York City.
